Learn more about the city

Marseille is France’s second-largest city and one of the Mediterranean’s major ports. Located in the south of the country, it occupies a strategic position as a crossroads between Europe and the Mediterranean basin, making it a cosmopolitan city driven by trade, services, and logistics. It is also known for its unique blend of cultures, its maritime history, and its sunny atmosphere.

Daily life here is strongly shaped by the sea, in a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. This diversity is reflected in everyday life, whether in traditions, language, or above all, cuisine, which is influenced by Mediterranean flavors. Marseille thus has a vibrant and multifaceted identity: a large, dynamic city, yet with a warm atmosphere and a more relaxed pace of life, giving it a character all its own.
